Phuntsholing–Chamkuna Road, PCR (3.359 Km) (2022-2023)
The Phuntsholing–Chamkuna Road (PCR) project covers a stretch of 3.359 kilometers, designed to strengthen connectivity, improve trade logistics, and enhance mobility in the southern region. This road section plays a vital role in linking border communities with Phuntsholing, Bhutan’s primary commercial hub.
Scope of Work:

Road Formation & Earthwork – Cutting, filling, and grading to establish the required road profile.

Pavement Construction – Laying granular sub-base, base course, and bituminous surfacing for durability and smooth travel.

Drainage Works – Building side drains, cross-drainage structures, and culverts to manage stormwater.

Slope Protection – Construction of retaining and breast walls, gabions, and erosion control measures.

Road Safety Measures – Installation of signage, markings, and safety barriers.
